Not exactly my glory days

A long time ago, I designed websites for a living. A long time ago. Like, when Netscape had the browser market cornered and TCI and AT&T hadn’t merged yet, and Al Gore was still VP and the King of the Internet and wasn’t propositioning massage therapists. It was a long time ago. Did I say that already?
I hated it. I’m not temperamentally suited to working on code. And so when I have to tweak even CSS (something that makes themes tick) to fix something or tweak a font, I am not happy, because I have blocked all useful CSS editing skills from my memory. I will happily discuss the doctrine of cy pres, even though I’ve never had it pop up in practice, but thinking about pixel widths makes me crazy.
So, I think I found a theme that will work for me for a while. I quite literally looked at hundreds, installed over a hundred, and settled on this one. It’s old, and I’ve had to manually fix some problems. I deleted some junk from one of the footers that I don’t even know what it was. And it’s doing a weird thing where clicking on the logo doesn’t take you to the home page. I’ll get to it. For now, I’m going to give it a go. Please let me know if you find problems!

I am very impressed. Last year I shelled out $2,000 for someone to design a web page for my seminar business. I thought, how hard can it be. If I can figure out the tax code, I can design a web page. WRONG.
Looks great!
Thank you both! I like it – but ugh, I hate working out the bugs!
