Day 1 FAIL

For what it’s worth, I tried to see where this was made before I bought it. (It’s a duplicate of my “Book of Virtues” notebook, made by Libretto Group and somehow related to Benetton.) I couldn’t tell, though, until I peeled off the price sticker. Oops.

I kind of wonder if you could make this easier by buying online from smaller companies who are definitely located in the U.S.? Then you could always email to make sure that they’re not outsourcing or whatever.
Absolutely, that would help! I try to buy locally from locally owned shops (Portland is a great place for it) but frankly, I’d buy a heck of a lot less, period, if I shopped online. Wandering our neighborhood (boutique-heavy) is dangerous.
