Waiting and updates

- For the nuclear stress test on Monday. (There are gamma rays involved in this. I want super powers!)
- I’m hoping it’s an esophageal spasm instead of my heart. Not just for the obvious reason (life span), but because it would fit with another other weird medical thing, and it would be nice if this wasn’t just a new random thing to add to the list of things I forget to mention when I’m giving my medical history.
- The beta blocker I’m taking in the meantime gives me a killer headache, drops my blood pressure to the point I have no energy, and makes me really queasy. It’s not quite as miserable as it was during the luxury hospital stay, but the dread is the same. At least there’s no attending + 1000 residents.
- I have to go 24 hours without caffeine before the nuclear stress test. Inhumane.
- There was another thing when I started writing this post, but I’ve forgotten what it is now.

Hope everything turns out ok!
Hope test isn’t too miserable? Could it be thyroid? They just put colleague through stress test hell and it turned out all her symptoms (rapid/irregular heart beat, sweating, sleeplessness, nausea, etc.) were a result of over-active thyroid (Grave’s Disease). Hope you feel better soon!
I’ve had esophageal spasms and thought I was dying. Hope you feel better, find out what is wrong, and that it’s minor. (Mine was either caused by stress or an allergy to Nexium.)
Oh bummer! I hope it goes as well as possible!
Will be thinking of you and sending you my best wishes.
Eek! Well…here’s to hoping you do get the superpowers because that would be pretty awesome.
Thank you all! I’ll be glad to have the test done with (and hopefully figuring out/treating what this is)!
Thinking of you!
Thank you, Maya! It was not the most fun I’ve ever had, but at least it’s done (and I didn’t have a heart attack during the test, so there’s that)!
